Speaking and Training
Speaking That Moves People
Real stories. Meaningful insight. Talks that foster clarity, courage, and change.
What Underpins My Speaking
My speaking is shaped by decades of leadership in educational contexts across four continents, moving my family around the world, and balancing the demands of being both a breadwinner and a mother while living with Multiple Sclerosis.
In 2023, I became the first Australian with Multiple Sclerosis to climb to 8,000m on Mt Everest. Reaching the South Col — and turning back short of the summit — led me to ask deeper questions about courage, clarity, and identity.
Alongside my lived experience, my work is grounded in academic study, including a Master of Applied Positive Psychology, an MBA in Leadership, a Master of Education, and further training in NLP, Narrative Therapy, and Social & Emotional Intelligence Coaching. Together, these experiences led me to create the Identity Realignment Cycle™.
This framework gives people a way to recognise where they are, realign when needed, and maximise performance and wellbeing in the directions that matter most.
Every keynote and workshop I deliver weaves story, humour, and practical tools — opening up conversations that matter and leaving people with strategies they can use right away, whether life feels steady, uncertain, or somewhere in between.
Keynote Talks
My talks draw directly from lived experience — mountaineering, leadership, identity, and life with Multiple Sclerosis — and are designed to spark reflection, courage, and meaningful change.
Some of the keynotes I most love delivering include:
How Far Would You Go to Find Yourself? - A deeply human story of identity, courage, and realignment — tracing my journey from leadership and life with MS to climbing above 8,000m on Everest. This keynote explores what happens when certainty falls away, and how we rediscover who we are when life asks more of us than expected.
Beyond Limits - A powerful exploration of grit, tenacity, and second attempts — and what it means to go beyond perceived limits in life, leadership, and identity.
Finding Your Summit - A talk about courage, purpose, and the decision to keep going — helping audiences reconnect with what matters most when the path forward feels uncertain.
Each talk blends storytelling, insight, and practical reflection, and can be tailored for corporate, education, community, or leadership audiences.
Training

The Outcome

Participants leave with practical strategies to support themselves and others — and clearer insight into sustaining wellbeing, alignment, and performance over time.

“We have been following Jen’s mission for a few years now and jumped at the opportunity to have her talk to our team. It was inspiring to hear her journey through life prior to her diagnosis, and the way she has taken MS in her stride while achieving such great things — Ama Dablam, Everest, and the goals she is now working towards for MS research.
Her discussion around identity and alignment through challenges and change was particularly powerful for our team, where we support clients through life transitions — from first home buyers to downsizers, separations, births, and more. The Identity Realignment Cycle™ gave us new insight into how to better support others — and ourselves. Thank you, Jen, for such an inspiring session. We look forward to seeing what you take on next!”
— Helena Ashurst, Ray White Yeppoon
