Speaking and Training
Speaking That Moves People
Real stories. Meaningful insight. Talks that foster clarity, courage, and change.
What Underpins My Speaking
My speaking is shaped by decades of leadership in educational contexts across four continents, moving my family around the world, and balancing the demands of being both a breadwinner and a mother while living with MS.
In 2023, I became the first Australian with Multiple Sclerosis to climb to 8,000m on Mt Everest. Not reaching the summit forced me to ask deeper questions about courage, clarity, and identity.
Alongside my academic studies — a Master of Applied Positive Psychology, an MBA in Leadership, a Master of Education, and further training in NLP, Narrative Therapy, and Social & Emotional Intelligence Coaching — these experiences led me to create the Identity Realignment Cycle™.
This framework gives people a way to recognise where they are, realign when needed, and maximise their performance and wellbeing in the directions that matter most.
Every keynote and workshop I deliver weaves story, humour, and practical tools to open up conversations that matter — and leaves people with strategies they can use right away, whether life feels steady, uncertain, or somewhere in between.

Workplaces are full of deadlines, disruption, and shifting demands. I know the toll it can take, because I’ve lived it — navigating the balance of personal and professional life with MS, leading schools across four continents, and moving my family around the world. Combined with my Everest climb to 8,000m, I share lessons and tools for realignment, clarity, and performance. I give leaders and teams strategies they can use straight away — in steady times or in moments of challenge.

Everyone has a summit — a challenge that demands more than we thought possible. This talk shares the journey that led me to write my memoir, How Far Would You Go to Find Yourself? — a moving and personal story of searching for ourselves in all the wrong and right places. Through humour, honesty, and my Everest experience, I help people see how setbacks can lead to deeper questions and how realignment can reconnect us with purpose.

For students, the hardest climbs aren’t on mountains — they’re about identity, confidence, and self-belief. I know this firsthand: I went from a bullied child and school dropout to an educator and school leader. Combined with my Everest story, I give young people practical, relatable tools for resilience, courage, and agency. My goal is to leave them empowered to face challenges, take ownership, and believe in what’s possible.
Training
Enhancing clarity and performance for individuals, teams, and organisations
Alongside keynotes, I deliver training that can be run virtually or in person. Every program is tailored, but they all share a common foundation: the Identity Realignment Cycle™.
What Training Includes
Assessment → Self, team, or organisational questionnaires to identify starting points.
Introduction to the Cycle → Clear explanation of the model and how it applies across personal, team, and organisational contexts.
Practical Tools → How to recognise what it feels like at each stage, and how to shift and realign.
Navigating Disruption → Strategies for moving through destabilising times more efficiently and effectively.
Deeper Understanding → Insights into the factors that influence human behaviour, leadership, and organisational performance. In 2023, I became the first Australian with Multiple Sclerosis to climb to 8,000m on Mt Everest. Where This Helps
The Identity Realignment Cycle™ is adaptable across industries and roles. For example:
Real estate and sales → where buyers’ and sellers’ identities are deeply tied to decisions, and understanding this can be the difference between building trust and missing the mark.
Customer service and healthcare → where staff face emotional strain and need practical ways to support both themselves and those they serve.
Leadership and management → where recognising what’s really going on for team members helps leaders respond with clarity and confidence.
The Outcome
This isn’t just about having a framework. It’s about building a deeper understanding of what drives people, what holds them back, and how to create the conditions for growth. Participants leave with practical strategies to support themselves and others — and sharper insight into sustaining wellbeing and performance at every level.
